Veterinary Antimicrobial Decision Support (VADS)

• In the past, judicious therapeutic antimicrobial use has focused on clinical efficacy. Recently, antimicrobial resistance has also become a focus for defining judicious therapeutic antimicrobial use. In addition, increased complexity in the reporting of antimicrobial susceptibility testing results requires a more sophisticated approach to interpretation.

Mission Statment

• This site is being developed to provide an easily accessible, comprehensive source of guidance in antimicrobial selection for food animal practitioners that addresses regimen design utilizing state of the art techniques and knowledge.
